Pro-Tec Fire Services has over 30 years of experience in the ARFF and emergency response industry.
The company was founded in 1967 as JJ Security, Inc. In 1995 the name was changed to JJ Protective Services, Inc. to more aptly reflect the nature of the services we provide.
In 1996, as part of a corporate reorganization, Pro-Tec Fire Services, Ltd. was created as a wholly-owned subsidiary of JJ Protective Services, Inc. We pioneered the contract Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighting services market in the United States in 1975. Under the guidance and vision of Norm Watermolen, the company negotiated and commenced a contract for ARFF services at Austin Straubel International Airport (GRB) in Brown County, Wisconsin. This was the first contract of its kind in the country. To date, Pro-Tec Fire Services, Ltd. has ARFF contracts throughout the U.S. and Canada.
